Fruta Soap Company is an independently owned and operated business in the heart of downtown Kitchener. For the last 6 years we have been selling homemade, all-natural soaps in a beautiful, century-old building that was once home to the historic Le Beau Pharmacy.

The history of Fruta started when Marissa Ortega took a
soap-crafting class and discovered that she had a knack for creating one-of-a-kind soap designs. Offering her soaps as gifts soon created quite a demand among family and friends. Eventually the requests became so great that Marissa decided to open shop. In 2003 she made the switch to soap-crafting full-time and moved into the old LeBeau Pharmacy.

Marissa's motivation behind her work is a zest for life, living creatively and eco-friendly, and making that morning routine a little more enjoyable.

Fruta's line of products has now grown to include liquid handsoaps, body washes, footcare, skincare, candles and chemical-free cleaning products.
