The First Step:

The creation of a website involves many steps. First, I will sit down with you to discuss your business, the goals for your website, how best I can target your potential customers, your brand and your design preferences. Next, the set-up and structure is discussed so I can understand how you'd like customers to interact with your business through your website. After your free consultation, I will provide you with a free estimate and a detailed proposal that communicates all design and development procedures, ideas and requirements.

Content Management System

Will your website need a lot of updates? For stores with weekly sales, or any business with content that changes for its customers, a Content Management System puts the control in your hands. Easy text and image changes can be made through a Microsoft Word-like editor and saves you time when the updates are needed frequently. I will structure your website in a way that integrates with the Content Management System so that the areas you need to change are easily accessible.

Monthly plans for CMS integration are $20 - $30/month.

Stock Photography

Your design will most likely need an element of stock photography. For use in custom backgrounds, layout details or to illustrate a product, stock photography will heighten the professionalism of your website. A high-quality photograph makes a big difference. I will handpick each photo to ensure that they fit seamlessly into the design and represent your business appropriately.

Average amount for a 5 page website: $50 - $75.

Website Maintenance

This service is for businesses with existing websites that need ongoing updates or changes. I can provide small weekly or monthly updates for text or image changes and larger updates that include additional pages.

Website maintenance is charged by the hour.

E-mail Newsletter Design

Keep visitors up-to-date about your website, sales and services. I will set up a professional mailing list campaign which includes a sign-up form, custom subscribe/unsubscribe pages for your recipients, plain text or image-based HTML e-mail design, and a quick training session so you can send newsletters easily. I also offer customized monthly sale designs at an additional hourly rate.

Prices range from $50 - $95.

Social Networking Tools

Getting noticed on social networking platforms will increase traffic to your website and generate more interest in your business. I will set up a Twitter account with a custom background to match your website, a Facebook page for your business and train you how to update them.

Design and set-up starts at $40.

Photo Retouching

To make your photos really pop, I can use Photoshop to manipulate colours, lighting, shadows, highlights and remove or add in various objects. Have an old photo you'd like restored? I do that too. Some elaborate examples can be seen in my illustration portfolio.

Photo Retouching is charged by the hour.

Logo Design

Give your business the best image possible with a custom designed logo. I will create a design that best reflects your business by gathering information about your business and business goals, and your potential customers through a detailed questionnaire. Based on this information, I will create 3 concepts for you to choose from for the final design. With your design you will receive multiple files for use in all print and web situations, and a Style Guide for proper logo usage.
